The build-planning phase before implementation

For qualified Pricing Engine and RFP Response Engine opportunities, we run the Managed Knowledge System Blueprint phase before implementation. We review your workflow, source materials, governance needs, hosting requirements, and system shape ensuring the build starts from a clear plan.

BLUEPRINT PRICING

$2,500 – $5,000

Blueprint fees are credited toward implementation if the client proceeds with a Managed Knowledge System build within 45 days. Scope depends on workflow complexity, number of source libraries, governance requirements, and hosting model. Confirmed during the Solution Fit Call.

THE PROCESS

How the Blueprint phase works

Structured steps resulting in a complete build plan —

01 | Fit confirmation and source intake

Confirm the workflow, business pain, workflow owner, source materials, and expected use case.

02 | Workflow and stakeholder review

Map how the work happens today, who reviews outputs, and where decisions or handoffs break down.

03 | Source-library and governance assessment

Evaluate what source material exists, what is usable, what needs cleanup, and how content should be approved or deprecated.

04 | System-shape recommendation

Determine whether the right build shape is Focused, Structured, or Team.

05 | Implementation and stewardship plan

Define phase-one build scope, assumptions, exclusions, timeline, and ongoing stewardship needs.

Who should attend: The person who owns the workflow — the lead estimator, proposal manager, or operations lead. A technical stakeholder is helpful but not required.

  • Managed Knowledge System Blueprint

$2,500–$5,000. Scoped build plan. Credited toward implementation within 45 days.

  • Pricing Engine or RFP Response Engine build

    $15,000–$30,000+. Built to Blueprint specification.

  • Managed Knowledge Stewardship

$1,500–$3,000/month. Source updates, governance, and system health.

WHICH PATH FITS?

Blueprint vs. AI Workflow Advisory

MANAGED KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMS (MKS) BLUEPRINT

CHOOSE MKS BLUEPRINT IF…

  • You have a recurring pricing or proposal workflow

  • You have real source material: past quotes, proposals, rate cards, SOPs, or source documents

  • A workflow owner is involved

  • You have likely intent to invest in a managed system

  • You want a concrete build plan before committing to implementation

AI WORKFLOW ADVISORY

CHOOSE ADVISORY IF…

  • You first need AI planning, tool guidance, or workflow design

  • Your source material needs a readiness review before a build

  • You want an action plan before presenting internally

  • You are not yet ready to commit to a managed system

WHY BLUEPRINT BEFORE BUILD

Implementation without a plan is expensive

  • Most builds that stall do so because the source material, workflow, and governance were not defined before work began.

  • The Blueprint phase exists to prevent that. It is not a proposal — it is a working document your team and ours use to start implementation without assumptions.

  • Blueprint cost is credited toward implementation within 45 days. If the build moves forward, you paid for planning, not twice.

A short routing call before a serious AI decision.

Start with a Solution Fit Call. We will tell you whether build, advisory, or neither is the right next step.

If your workflow is ready for a managed system, we will point you toward the Blueprint path. If you need guidance first, we will point you toward AI Workflow Advisory. If neither is right, we will say so.
